A truly well designed and beautiful space works well for those that live in it, reflects who they are, and most importantly, tells their story.

Love of family strongly influences Amanda’s designs. Weaving a family’s history and personality into each design is essential to creating a space that reflects those who call it home.

Amanda is a Northern Virginia local, born and raised in Fairfax County. She earned an Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies degree at James Madison University with a minor in Middle School Education. After three years of teaching eighth grade English, she took a leap of faith and decided to pursue her love of design. She spent a year working at a high end interior design firm in Reston, working alongside and studying under a team of designers, where she not only learned about the art of design, but also the art of running a successful business.

Leveraging the knowledge she gained from the interior design firm, she began working on her own townhouse’s renovation. Friends and neighbors saw what she was creating in her own home and asked her to partner with them in theirs. In 2015 she turned her love and passion for design into Amanda Van Roy Interiors.

Her speciality is creating a home that has both function and esthetics, as well as tells the story of those that live in it.

Amanda currently resides in Loudoun County Virginia with her husband, their two children and their Labrador Retriever, Scout.
